Strongly influenced by powerful West Coast and Island whiskies, Johnnie Walker Double Black is best enjoyed with water to unlock its complex layers of smouldering spice and smoke. An impressive blend to share, whatever the occasion.

Johnnie Walker Double Black Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Dense and rich with molasses and pumpkin spice with a bit of lemon zest and pepper.

Palate: Sweet vanillas and spice.

Finish: Warming finish of oak tannins and lingering smokiness.

Distillery Information

In 1857, Alexander Walker — Johnnie Walker’s eldest son — inherited the store and began improving its selection of single malt Scotch whiskies. In addition, Alexander had apprenticed with a tea merchant in Glasgow and there, had learned the art of blending tea. Under his stewardship, the House of Walker began blending whisky and bottling it in an iconic, square bottle adorned with a slanted label.
